Seeds of Wars

Seeds of War got its first real official showing at Salute after much play testing, amending of stats and rule updates to bring to the public a more complete game. Paul got it all printed as he always does to provide a very nice eye catching batch of documents for people to browse through.

Alex and James were covering demo games and introducing people to the Pax , Kraytonian and Andrayada forces. It wasn't long before people were getting stuck into the game.

We had quite a few small games in order to get people used to how the game flows, and as the day went by players were starting to play more tactically and take things a little more serious in order to win.

With Alex and James busy, Paul, Iain, Tim and myself catered for the display area and anyone who had queries or wanted to chat about the game. The display was very impressive and did catch the attention of passers-by.

We had nearly everything we could drag down that wasn't either being casted or sculpted and it was quite a sight.

Unfortunately, not all my photos came out very well so I will have to wait till Alex sends some to me which are better and show more of the various models that were one display. Suffice to say that the day went by very fast and with a big game organised for the afternoon it kept quite a few people busy.

We had a few requests regarding the rule book and whether it would be published, and I did say that if there is enough demand I would do one once we have the main rule book completed. So all modifications/amendments, grammar checks etc would need to be completed and the whole team happy before we go ahead.

My thanks go to all who went and got involved and to those who made it possible by helping prepare the work beforehand to make it look the way it did on the day.

The Team, Paul, Alex, James, Iain and Tim, were great and the day went really smooth due to their hard work. I am sure you will see us again soon and not just showing ourselves at Salute once a year.

Competition

I thought I would leave this till last, since this is still running. With one of the new alien races slowly making an appearance, we wanted people to participate in naming the race itself.

How to participate:

1. Entrants can enter as many times as they like

2. Entries are made via this link or via email to the address below

3. Entrants can include names for individual units as well if they wish, which may bring its own rewards, but is not part of the competition.

4. All entries must be in by 12 noon (GMT) Saturday 17th May

5. Winners are chosen by the selected judges (DRM design Team)

6. The prize is £25 worth (RRP) of DRM's 'Bugs' range of miniatures

Good Luck!

Doug
