DRM newsletter
June 2008

Hi and welcome to the June newsletter.

Salute has been and gone and time is flying past at a worrying pace, so what have we been up to?

Seeds of War Game
Seeds of War was promoted at Salute and had quite a few interested parties battling it out on the two gaming tables we used to allow more players to have a game, before playing a larger game towards the end of the day. It was a great day and we all enajoyed chatting to people interested in our miniatures and finding out what we had in store for the future.

For a brief review on the day click here.

The PDF files for stats etc are being updated so if they are not there, like for example, the Andrayada stats, dont worry I will get them up as soon as I can.

Alien Competition
At Salute we were running a competition to name the new Alien race. That competition is still running and will be until the 30th June. Entries can be made via the website forum on this thread link, or via email to us at drm@darkrealmminiatures.com.

For more details check out the website competition page.

New Miniatures

With Seeds of War starting to take shape and some Alien blisters making an appearance I am sure people are wondering what we are up to. We have several options for release as well as more models being made ready and should be packaged very soon. More details will follow about that shortly but I would like opinions from people regarding big models and what people think of resin.

For those of you who may not know, the cost of metal per kilo has risen sharply in the last year to amount to an increase of 20% if not more, with the biggest jump being around Christmas time. It doesnt look as if they will fall anytime soon so I have been looking at the option of having bigger models made out of resin depending on the size.

What do people think? Should models like the big beastie above be made in resin? I have started a thread on our forum for your thoughts, because at the end of the day you are the ones who will buy them if they are good enough so your opinions are most appreciated. The link to the thread in particular is here.

As always keep those suggestions coming in regarding what would be a good idea for a new miniature, who knows your suggestion may become reality!

Happy Gaming!

Doug
